We believe in creating systemic change. Our strategic litigation work focuses on addressing the causes of racial injustice in our criminal justice system. So far, we have conducted judicial review cases for the Windrush generation, successfully resulting in a positive verdict as the judge explicitly stated that the former Secretary of State’s decision to abandon these recommendations indirectly discriminated against Windrush victims, as well as a case against Chichester University, fighting for the right to preserve and teach Black history. We have also issued a judicial review claim that the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime and Ministry of Justice’s tagging programme for ex-offenders is unfairly discriminatory against Black men.
